I laugh every time Westerners make such a big deal about Singapore's ban on chewing gum! Sorry to burst your bubble, but you can actually bring in A FEW chewing gums without getting fined. There's no total ban on chewing gums for personal consumption. Its not like it's drugs or something. BUT you cannot smuggle in large quantities of chewing gums. Immigration officers will think you want to sell these things (goods needs to be taxed) and chewing gum in Singapore... is banned. Duh. Chewing gums for personal consumption is still acceptable. Police will normally close both eyes if your bring a few sticks.
Olympics is a day before Singapore's National Day. Which is the equivalent of Independence Day. I am not excited about the Olympics at all. In fact I hated it so much. Because of them, most tv programs on the free to view channels are disrupted. Which average Singaporean actually watch the Olympics from start to finish?! And I find it amusing when I realise.... Team Singapore is actually imported from China. So its like homecoming for our Singaporean athletes (who were previously at one point of their life dumped China for Singapore... TRAITORS!). HAHAHAHA!
Anyway, I've been checking out photos of the swimmers. The female ones especially. Badan macam JANTAN sial!! Do the Olympic staffs actually do a gender check on these girls? I mean, they could turn out to be a man-turned-female. And that could put them at a slight advantage over the rest.
