Food For Thought

My cousin and some friends are planning to buy a condominium on either side of Singapore. While I think its a good investment, there's nothing great about condominiums actually, especially in the heartlands of Singapore. Because you can get a HDB flat that looks so much like a private apartment, but without the swimming pool, security guard and a gym. While I think swimming pool is a plus for kids, the noise coming from them playing in the pool, shouting and screaming in excitement, can get a little annoying after awhile; especially if your room faces the swimming pool!

And I have to be frank here that most condominiums in the heartlands have no (fasinating) view. Well, unless you're rich enough to own the condominiums in Marina Bay!

But hey, no one's stopping you from purchasing that dream condominium. Just telling you that you can get the same thing for less in a HDB flat. Singapore neighborhoods are pretty safe btw. Security guards comes in handy if you live in a country full of daylight robbery and gunmen.

HAHA.

I think a better investment would be in Kuala Lumpur.

Anyway, just something that my father shared with me for so many years already. He feels that money shouldn't be wasted on over the top themed renovations. It should be for properties. Because the value of your home increases with age. Unlike your car, gold, shoes, clothes, gadgets, etc.

Think about it.
